Terms of Service
These Terms are an agreement between you and the operator of Arki Codes named in section 11 (“Arki Codes”, “we”, “us”) for the use of the Arki Codes website and study app (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What the Service is, and is not
Arki Codes is a personal study aid for the Philippine Architecture Licensure Examination. It is not an official reviewer and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), the Professional Regulatory Board of Architecture, the United Architects of the Philippines or any review center.
Content is prepared with care but may be incomplete, outdated or contain mistakes. Laws, codes and rules change. Always check the official text of the law and the official references before relying on anything. The Service does not give legal, professional or engineering advice, and nothing in it is a guarantee that you will pass any examination.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 years old or older to create an account or join the early-access list; there is no exception with a parent's or guardian's consent. You confirm your age when you sign up. We delete accounts we learn belong to someone under 18.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date. One account is for one person.
- Keep your password and sign-in codes secret. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Do not share, sell or lend your account or access. An account may be used on up to 2 devices. Accounts used by more than one person, on more devices, or in two places at once may be suspended.
3. Free trial, passes and payments
- New accounts get a 3-day free trial. No payment details are needed, and nothing is charged when it ends.
- There is one free trial per email address. An account made again with an address that already had one, for example after deleting the earlier account, starts without a trial. The same goes for the refund of a pass bought by mistake.
- After the trial, access requires a prepaid pass for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. A pass is a one-time payment. It does not renew automatically and we never charge you without your action.
- A pass starts when payment is confirmed, or after your current trial or pass ends if one is still running.
- You pay by scanning our bank QR code with your own bank or e-wallet app, then send us your receipt by message (on our Facebook page or TikTok). Your pass starts when we confirm the payment. We never ask for your card number, PIN, one-time code or password.
- We add no fees. Any transfer fee is set by your own bank or e-wallet.
- Prices are in Philippine pesos and may change; a change never affects a pass you have already paid for.
- Bought a pass by mistake? Ask within 24 hours of sending your payment for a full refund, once per account, as set out in our Payments and refunds policy. After that, payments are final and not refundable. Payment mistakes (double charges, paid without access) are always corrected.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, download in bulk, scrape, record, screenshot for distribution, resell or republish the Service’s questions, answer keys, lessons, figures or models;
- try to get around access limits, payments, rate limits or security, or test the Service for weaknesses without our written permission;
- use the Service to harass anyone, to break any law, or to upload anything harmful or that you have no right to share;
- use bots or automated tools to access the Service.
5. Our content
The Service’s software, design, text, questions, figures, 3D models and renders belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use them for your own studying while your access is active. Laws and official documents quoted in the Service remain public documents; our explanations, arrangement and illustrations of them are ours.
If you believe content in the Service infringes your rights, write to arkicodes@gmail.com and we will review it promptly.
6. Suspension and closing your account
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, puts other users or the Service at risk, or is used for fraud. Where reasonable we will tell you why. You may delete your account at any time from your account page.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add or remove features. If we make a material change to these Terms, we will ask you to accept the new version before you continue; if you do not accept, you may stop using the Service.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.
To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, lost profits, lost opportunities, or for results of any examination. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Philippine law, including liability for fraud, gross negligence, or your rights under the Consumer Act (RA 7394) and the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173).
9. Indemnity
You agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.
10. Disputes and governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Before going to court, please contact us at arkicodes@gmail.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally within 30 days. Any case that cannot be resolved will be brought before the proper courts of Taguig City, Philippines, without prejudice to the rights of consumers under Philippine law.
